Dominique appears regularly as a soprano soloist with Underground Opera. She has been a company member of Opera Queensland (now Opera Q) since 1995 and has performed in over 20 operas in the chorus, as a soloist, an understudy and in small roles. As part of Opera Q’s education program, Dominique toured QLD and NSW in the combined roles of Mother and Witch in Hansel & Gretel. Recently she understudied the roles of the Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Old Lady in Opera Q’s hit production of Candide.
Dominique has appeared as a guest artist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in a number of Music on Sunday’s concerts, the soprano soloist in the 2015 Opening Gala Concert of Beethoven’s 9th “Ode to Joy” and world debut of Gordon Hamilton’s The Trillion Souls and the soprano soloist in 2016 Opening Gala Concert of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” conducted by Alondra de la Parra (awarded one of Limelight Magazine’s top 20 shows of 2016).
In 2016 Dominique made a guest appearance in the role of Lady Billows in Queensland Conservatorium’s world class production of Britten’s comic opera Albert Herring, directed by Bruce Beresford.
In the UK, Dominique performed the roles of Violetta in La Traviata, the title role in Tosca (Park Opera) and Musetta in La Bohème (Candlelight Opera). In Australia, she sang the role of Annina in La Traviata for the Brisbane Festival.
Dominique has performed with numerous operatic societies in south east Queensland and in the UK. Principal roles include Casilda in The Gondoliers, Angela in Patience, Anna in The Merry Widow, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, The Plaintiff in Trial by Jury, Phyllis in Iolanthe, Guenevere in Camelot, Maisie in The Boyfriend, and Hugette in The Vagabond King. She performed the role of Carlotta in the Queensland premiere production of The Phantom of the Opera with Savoyards.
