Regis Danillon

Regis DanillonPianist Regis Danillon has a distinguished career as a musician, combined with extensive experience in teaching music to students of all ages. He has studied piano in France , Australia and in England at the Royal College of Music, where he gained the ARCM with Honours. At the University of Queensland, Regis was awarded a Masters Degree in Performance.

Regis has worked with many singers from opera to cabaret. He has toured throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia as an ABC artist accompanying visiting singers and instrumentalists.

His interests also include vocal coaching and he has been repetiteur with the Lyric Opera of Queensland, working on Carmen and Eugene Onegin.

After over 20 years as Lecturer in Piano at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music , Regis held a position at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Mackay, teaching a number of academic subjects, directing the vocal ensemble Con Singers, and mostly as repetiteur or Musical Director in several student musicals ( including The Rocky Horror Show, Chess, Aspects of Love, The Pajama Game) in the Music Theatre department. He was also a member of the resident classical Piano Trio, the Lyrebird Ensemble.
