In the search for the perfect acoustic, the producer of the Underground Opera Company (UOC), Bruce Edwards, has staged concerts in underground mines and caves through-out Eastern Australia. "It is absolutely incredible, the difference between hearing singers perform in an ideal accoustic compared to the theatre. The Great Hall in The Sunshine Castle epitomises this. Not only is the venue unique but the sound and atmosphere is amazing. It is hard to describe it but you can physically feel the singers' voices tingling through you. I am very fortunate to be able to present performers of an International caliber in these magnificent venues and uphold our motto "Extraordinary performances in breathtaking spaces".
The Underground Opera Company is pleased to announce their first Concert at The Sunshine Castle, Bli Bli, "Opera in the Castle". The Great Hall is the show-piece of the castle and will provide the most unique, intimate Opera and light opera concert you will have ever experienced, with some of the best voices you will have heard.
The Underground Opera Company is pleased to present the talents of National and International performers for "Opera in the Castle" joining our resident tenor Mr Glenn Lorimer (Scottish National Opera Co./ London Opera Co.) and the sensational John Woods on piano.
"Opera in the Castle" will light up the Sunshine Castle, Bli Bli on June 11, 12 & 13 for three shows only. Tickets will be available through TICKETMASTER on13 61 00 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.au. Delectable canapés will be served at interval with some interesting interval entertainment.
